What is a Campaign?
Campaign or WhatsApp Broadcast is a feature in Convonite that allows businesses to send a single message to multiple users at once using the WhatsApp Business API. It is typically used to share important updates, announcements, offers, or reminders — all delivered directly to users’ WhatsApp inboxes as individual messages.
In many customer journeys, it's common for users to go inactive after a period of engagement. This might be due to lost interest, timing, distractions, or simply forgetting about your service. However, these users are still valuable — they’re already aware of your brand and may return with the right push. Within Convonite, you can set up a targeted broadcast campaign aimed specifically at users who haven’t interacted in a while.
When a business launches a new product or service, it’s important to make sure customers are not just informed—but engaged. A one-time message may not be enough, especially if the product needs explanation or builds interest over time.
A business often serves customers from different regions, languages, and backgrounds. Sending the same message to everyone may not always work — it can feel irrelevant or even ignored.
With Campaigns, you can segment your audience based on location, language, tags, or behavior. This allows you to create personalized and localized campaigns that speak directly to each group.
For example:
Send messages in the customer’s preferred language
Promote city-specific offers or events
Share content that matches a user’s interests or history
Personalized messaging builds trust, improves engagement, and makes your communication more effective — no matter how diverse your audience is.
Businesses may occasionally need to update customers about changes in operations — such as revised business hours, delivery delays, or policy updates. Campaigns allow you to efficiently broadcast these updates to all affected users at once. This ensures timely communication, reduces confusion, and maintains a consistent message across your customer base.
Single-Step Campaign:
A Single-Step Campaign is a one-time message sent to a selected list of contacts at once. It is ideal for delivering straightforward, time-sensitive communications that do not require a follow-up.
This type of campaign is best suited for:
Festival greetings or seasonal messages that build brand warmth
One-time promotional offers such as flash sales or limited-time discounts
Business announcements like policy updates, service availability, or store hour changes
Since the message is sent in a single batch without follow-up steps, it ensures quick execution and broad visibility — making it an effective choice for clear, concise outreach.
Example : Festival Offer
"Hi {{name}}, celebrate Diwali with 20% off on all products! 🪔
Shop now: [link] – Offer valid till midnight!"
Multi-Step Campaign:
A Multi-Step Campaign is a scheduled sequence of messages sent to a targeted audience over a defined period. This approach is ideal for scenarios where ongoing engagement is required, rather than a single touchpoint.
It is particularly effective for:
Follow-up communication after an initial outreach, ensuring continued engagement
Drip marketing campaigns that gradually educate, nurture, or convert leads
Announcements that require reminders, such as product launches, webinars, or service updates
Onboarding sequences for new users, guiding them step-by-step through your offerings
Each message in the sequence can be configured with a specific delay or time interval, allowing businesses to space out their communication thoughtfully. Multi-step campaigns help maintain consistent brand presence and increase the chances of user action by reinforcing the message over time.
Example: New Product Launch – Herbal Glow Face Serum
"Hi {{name}}, our Herbal Glow Serum is here! Be the first to check it out: [link]"
Goal: Spark curiosity
Day 3 – Why It’s Special
"100% natural. Visible glow in 7 days. Dermatologist approved. See why everyone’s loving it: [link]"
Goal: Build trust
Day 5 – Limited-Time Offer
"Get 15% off today only! Don’t miss out: [buy link]"
Goal: Drive purchase
